Drop down bar

With the new update you guys have ruined the drop-down bar for messaging. Way less annoying to use as you want not to see yourself and the other person talk. I get annoyed seeing it as it reminds me that I can no longer just type something and the drop-down box will go away and will come back up when the person responds I have to constantly keep checking back. Which is especially annoying when you were doing something else on your phone. So please do us all a favor and fix it!
