Let us use the existing NSFW image recognition to simply blur/hide images like you do with spoilers.
You can already recognize with a decent level of accuracy whether an image is "inappropriate." Let us use this to have those images appear as hidden and mark them so it's clear that it is not just a spoiler. I don't mind seeing NSFW images always, but there's a time and place for it. I would love to be able to avoid them when I want to without blocking the message entirely like the current system does. It could also allow us to filter out the NSFW content on servers we are in, not just DMs. That would be really handy.

Well first of all, NSFW should be in NSFW channels. Second of all, There’s settings that exist to block out any NSFW content but it’s DMs ones. And third, there is a place for NSFW. It’s called NSFW channels.

No part of your response is helpful. I acknowledged the DM settings in the first sentence; that's the whole basis of my suggestion. I am saying it would be useful to be able to browse NSFW channels or messages with the images hidden.
