Replace names of Subreddits and Reddit Users
When sending a message with a name of a subreddit or a Reddit User, the message looks like this at the moment:

However, what Discord could do, is to make an orange link of it (instead of blue for regular links). Then it would look like this:

Now it is much more clear that it is a link to reddit.
However, maybe you don't want Discord to replace Reddit links for you. There could be two solutions:
- Prefix it with an backslash (\). You say to Discord: This is not a Reddit link. (This works if it is indeed no Reddit link but just some text with the same structure) However, using backslash doesn't work for regular links at the moment.
- Make it an Appearance setting in the Discord settings. Every use then can use if Discord should replace the links or not. However, if you enable this setting and it isn't actually a Reddit link, Discord still sees it as link. The first solution would solve this.
So, to summarise: My idea is to replace Reddit link structures with actual links. When prefixed with an backslash, the structure will not be replaced. This should also work with normal URLs. If they are prefixed with an backslash, they should just appear as plain text.

Maybe they should both replace u/ben221199 (without leading slash) as /u/ben22199 (with leading slash)

This is Discord, not Reddit. I doubt Discord will add this, as this is a Reddit-specific feature. Just like how Reddit won't automatically add an invite embed when a Discord invite is sent:

I totally agree with you that this should be a feature, but I'm afraid it just won't happen.
There are bots out there that do this for you, however. One of them, Reddit ReLink, is a bot I developed. It detects Reddit links and automatically sends an embed with basic info about the sub/redditor (as well as a link to it). This isn't exactly what you're describing, but it's probably the best alternative as of now.
