To those suggesting that we change the spacing between message bars to avoid the overlap from the emoji bar...

...it doesn't make a difference. It's still bad, and the emoji bar itself is overwhelming and unnecessary. Bring back the lines please.

  I second this. Reintroducing the message dividers / message blocks or lines won't reduce the problem as the distractions will remain with the new UI design.

  Oh I disagree about it not making a difference: it does make a difference...
