Please Revert or have a TOGGLE option for the Hover UI

This new hover-for-reactions-and-other-options is incredibly obstructive and intrusive to being able to actually read the messages, especially when trying to scroll through backlog or catch up quickly. There is also quite an immersion-breaking and highly inappropriate mood when trying to read and participate in a serious conversation, only to see the silly emoticons or emojis over every single comment. These new options had all been neat and tidy in the ellipses options. The line breaks were helpful in distinguishing the pauses between any one user's messages, as that gives to a form of communication in and of itself.

I genuinely considered dropping using discord as my primary platform of communication when I considered if I was willing to put up with having any conversation now ridiculed down to mere meme-ry by the sheer, unavoidable presence of these hover pop-ups.

    This new reaction menu does make the interface busier, again, and I'm not a fan either. A toggle would be nice, if someone actually needs and wants the menu - there is already one for animated emotes that prevents a lot of literal headache.

    Having the emojis flash on the right side while I'm trying to read (and therefore slowly scroll through) the backlog is super distracting. This is a real usability problem.

    I'm considering completely turning off reactions for the moment so that I can at least read the text part of the messages without being distracted all the time, but of course reactions are part of the conversation, too, so hiding them would just make it suck in a different way.

    I just really dislike emojis. They are infantile, and I'll always strive to push them as much as possible from any UI I interact with. Now having a watermelon, an underlined "100" and utensils pop up all over the place is just annoying. And yes, I'd have to agree that the red colors of the featured emojis are distracting.
