Stop fixing what isn't broken!
This kind of overly proactive behavior is exactly the kind of BS that made me delete Skype and switch to Discord in the first place. I came to this app because it was clean, and usable, and stable. But recently it feels like you guys are rolling out unnessesary updates just for the sake of it, instead of actually listening to what the community is asking for and changing those aspects.
If you absolutely must keep all these godawful new UI changes in the system, make them an optional extra! Stop forcing everybody to use these horrendous new layout changes without even telling us that you changed them! As somebody with ADHD, the new chat layout is physically unpleasant to use.

This! Fixing things that aren't broken and unnecessary updates that you don't have a choice to use are plain terrible! If it's fine how it is, don't change it.

It's incredibly difficult to actually read through blocks of messages now without getting confused about where topics are broken up, and scrolling quickly through the backlog with your cursor still over text causes every message to flash as it's highlighted, which is a pretty big oversight, and could probably be an issue for the photosensitive among us.
Additionally, the emoji picker now covers content if you're using Discord at a smaller scale, as I typically do, with seemingly no way to disable it. These changes appear to have been made at random, and are nothing but a detriment to user experience.

Ditto from another ADD person.

I have a issue with my eyesight and i can get overwhelmed very easily. I have canary so I've had this update a bit longer than you and yes i 100% agree we need to make this optional or just revert in general. If I have a stimulation problem then so will also way more sensitive people. The spacing being single user messages is absurd as well,
