February UI Changes - Appearance Options

With the strong dislike from many towards the new UI made in the early February update, I feel many people are jumping to the hate conclusion rather than options. Instead of reverting as so many suggest and complete optional control, a split of optional control should be considered. For starters, the changes to the position for default text channel instructions as well the new design for the NEWS MESSAGE’ line are quite minor and normal changes most people will forget even changed within a weeks time. I would suggest adding an optional in ‘Appearance’ for highlighting messages including both the slight colour increase for mentioned messages but also for the normal messages as well. The removal of line separation except for different dates has also been brought to my attention from others who feel the very faint line added to the design. Consider readding either fully or through an option for be a nice fix. You have added icons when clicking on the ‘More’ option for messages, although when right clicking, the options are without icons. Consistency between the two would be nice. Finally, an optional for ‘Quick Access Emojis’ would be nice as some feel when they hover over a messages, they feel pushed to click something with the background hover colour or the bright and piping emojis on the right. An option would be nice. These suggestions would both benefit those who like and dislike the update but also not to completely waste the resources of Discord developers.
