there's no reason to do this
i personally couldn’t care less about the activity tab.
what i truly don’t understand is why the compact message layout had to change. there was nothing wrong with that nice separating line between each chunk. now it looks like a cluttered mess, with every message just flowing into the same stream of text, with little to no indicator for whose message is whose.
it's so much less readable now.
there’s no option to make things look any different unless you want to space each individual message out. really really misguided, i have no idea why this had to change. i haven’t seen anybody at all ask for this. please reconsider, because changing visual aspects of the platform without a HUGE degree of demand is disorienting, unneeded and flippant.
there have been so many changes in the past that, while users adjusted to them over time, really just caused most users to ask "why change it?? it's fine how it is." go back to any thread under a major update and you'll see what i mean.
discord, i realize you have to keep things fresh and look like you care about your consumers. i love the platform and genuinely, i think it looked absolutely perfect just a month ago. but truly, it would be much more obvious that you cared if you kept that old adage in mind: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

They took there motto from Red Green Show: If it an't Broke your not trying.
