The new UI

Hey Discord

I have a boyfriend, I send maybe, 100 messages a night if I can't talk to him, a lot of them are very short messages.

I don't know if you're aware but I don't want to react to every single message, especially the ones that contain about 3 words.

I also personally get very paranoid and uncomfortable when I'm aware of what my mouse is hovering over, this is more my own problem, but it does make me paranoid enough to periodically close discord when I shouldn't.

I also don't want to see when people I have as a friend for work purposes are playing hentai games, especially if the game is not multiplayer, which at that point just clogs my friend screen.

It's even more intrusive when no one is playing a game, because someone decided that a massive box containing no information was a splendid idea!

I've loved this program for years, but I'd rather not have the UI make me want to vomit left and right.

Maybe get some people who knows a bit more than mobile design to make your DESKTOP software.

If not, at least give your audience a choice on what happens to the program they're using instead of having them complain after changes are made. That, or deal with the many people I've seen stop supporting the program due to the design choices you have made.

Another option is to give us the ability to toggle your odd design choices on and off, that or revert to old versions of discord.

No one asked for this. No one ever showed signs of needing this. You've made a design choice on your own, that everyone in your community hates, when you could be looking at your own community for much better designs or ideas to improve your program. Thanks for keeping your audience in mind, Discord.
