Revert the UI
Honestly I've found most of your updates over the past year to be pointless aesthetics, but this one definitely takes the cake for being the worst one yet. I want to be able to go through my messages without my cursor highlighting/bringing up an emote menu on every single message I happen to hover over. And I have no idea why you wanted to get rid of the light grey lines separating the messages. They seemed more neat and organized when the lines were still there, now they're all just clustered together and it's hard to tell at first glance whose messages are whose.
Like everyone's been saying, if you're not going to undo this update, at least give us the option NOT to use it. I'd love to be able to use an older version of Discord, it was simple and that's what made it great; No useless bells and whistles like giant emotes or reaction menus, just talking and gaming with friends.
And one last thing I would like to point out while we're at it... please stop with these automatic updates. It's annoying when I'm in the middle of talking to someone and I suddenly get kicked out of the app for hours at a time because of an update I didn't even ask for, nor do I know what it's going to do.

Strong agree on this one, especially about getting rid of the light grey lines separating the messages. Speaking as someone with ADHD and who has trouble visually organizing information (especially long blocks of text), the lines dividing messages from different speakers was very helpful. Without them there, the app honestly feels much more uncomfortable to navigate, especially in compact theme. I hope that you will at least give us the option of turning it back on.

I also feel this as well. I'm autistic, and I loved how everything was spaced with the gray lines. It made it easier to see and didn't look all cluttered and gross. I really wish there was an option to turn it on or some way to bring it back.
