New UI is awful
New desktop UI is awful. message highlighting and the quick emojis are both distracting, and the removal of the line separating messages make it hard to keep track of things.
Please revert or atleast give options to make it like it used to be.
The feedback for this update has been overwhelmingly negative and as someone whos been surporting discord for ages its super shitty to see you ignore your customers like this. Its been over a week and we haven't had so much as a tweet to address this yet :/

Agreed. This is awful. It makes it hard to focus on the chats, to read messages. The squashed nature of the messages it disorienting, and the awful emote popup thing is annoying, to say the very least.
Please, either give us the option to revert to the older version, or put that back the way it used to be. This is awful and if Discord doesn't start listening to its user base, then I will find another chat platform, just like when we all migrated from Skype because of the same issues.

If it helps a bit, you can set the width between messages to 24px in Accessibility Options. I had to do that to be able to keep using Discord. Doesn't fix everything, and I still _really_ hope they listen and revert this, but it helps to make it more usable for now.
