everyone is super loud and their voices are distorted
every time I join a channel everyone is super loud and the voices are distorted the only way to fix the problem is to disconnect and reconnect several times. Is there a way to fix this?

Same problem over here sound is boosted like 10x which cause distortion tried to reinstall discord solved it for a day and the problem is back would love to get this problem solved

Yeah, same problem here. Using a bluetooth headset so I thought it was a connection issue but it's just discord. I also have a similar problem where attenuation stays on even though it's disabled, with voices being much louder than normal but not distorted. Also fixed by joining and leaving repeatedly.

I may have finally found the solution! (I believe people with Razer Man O War headsets and razer synapse 2.0 are experiencing this frustrating issue).1. Right click the discord application2. Click "Troubleshoot Compatability"3. Click the first option "Try recommended settings"4. It should then apply the update "Windows compatabiltity mode: Windows 8"5. Test the program and click Next.6. Finally click "Yes, save these settings for this program" and close the troubleshooter.7. Launch discord and hopefully see the magic!<30 -
no option to right click trouble shoot so doesnt fix it for me

Deja solution actually helped me.
And for GermaineRight click discord and go to properties. There will be tabs on a small window, and one of them is compatibility. Click that and click "Run this program in compatibility mode" and choose windows 8 on the tab beneath it.
