Optional Threaded Messaging

Dear Discord,

While I sit at home trying to moderate a small server, I realize many of my problems could be solved with message threads.

Please make this a feature.Not only would it be nice for managing members of a community, it would increase the ability for larger organizations to function coherently, potentially opening yourself up to the professional market space.

I have a feeling the reason this issue has been avoided is that your back end relies on sequential messages to function properly, however if Slack can make it work, I am sure that you can find a way to make it work.

It would be even better if you could make it optional for some channels and not others, to help organize discourse within servers.

I know this may not be seen and that it is continually brought up by other members of the community, but I figure if I make enough noise eventually you will respond.

We actually like your pricing scheme (per server and not per user). If only you implemented threads...

The lack of threads makes Discord completely unusable for having a conversation with more than one other person. It's so exhausting to try to make sense of the jumbled chaos of Discord channels.

We need threads, hell I would even boost my server to have Threads...
Our startup is using Discord for official communication, but we have to change to Slack as soon as we grow in numbers. (15+...)

Please DO consider that, and make it happen!! :(
