NSFW age verification blocks ALL of discord if you don't disclose your age.
I went into a channel on one server and the NSFW verification popped up asking for my age. I didn't feel like disclosing that information but now I was stuck. There is no way to close the verification, no way to jump to a different channel, and no way to jump to a different server or anything else in Discord for that matter.
I had to close Discord in the system tray to and re-open Discord to get to private messages section to be able to get to anything again.
I went back to the server to talk to people and because on that server I was still technically in that same channel the age verification popped back up and blocked the whole of Discord again.
In my opinion this is a bug and needs to be fixed. It is extremely frustrating to effectively be forced (if I wasn't clever enough to find a work around) into give out private info that I may not want to give out.

Happened to me about a week ago. I submitted a ticket but haven't received a response.
I created a new account, so I could play with my guild Friday. However, this account is locked at the NSFW screen. Where is the back or cancel button...

Dude yes this is soooo annoying, Ive done it 3 times today on accident when trying to click through channels. I dont even care to go to the channel so when it pops up my only option is to completely close Discord and restart it. Hoping for a fix. OR just give us a "cancel" button lmao

Same man, it's so damn annoying and i wish the discord staff would just completely remove this dumb NSFW channel verification thing and remove all discord user's personal info they gathered through said NSFW channel verification i hope more people can band together on this issue and ask the discord staff to remove the entire NSFW channel verification system permanently

I didn't mind entering my birth date - it's in my email adress anyhow, so I don't care too much - However, after entering it the first time, it didn't work - the boxes for selecting the date reset - I entered it again [ and yes, I'm sure I entered it correctly ], and was prompted with the message that there was an error verifieing my age, and that my account be deleted in 14 days - even tho I'm 18, am paying for Nitro with my paypal, my Email having my birth date, and me having used discord for 3 years now...
I contacted support, and got a reply pretty quckly actually - turns out I chose the wrong category - not Trust & Safety...
I just wanted/want to know know if it was legit, or just a bug [ it seemed buggy to me.. ] - However, the support couldn't help me - and if I want to write a ticket to Trust & Safety, I am FORCED to include a Selfie + Photo ID + Discord Tag - even though I don't even know if that is needed - again, I just wanna know if it was for real or not - Now I either have to wait 2 weeks and see if my account gets deleted, or I have to send a Selfie + Photo ID + Discord Tag, just to inquire about the status / validity of my age / account ..
Discord just lost a lot of trust & sympathy from me..4 -

Not sure why you can't just close the dialogue box that comes up if you click an NSFW channel accidentally and you don't want access to it. It's absurd that you need to reload discord to close it.
For example - You accidentally click an NSFW channel but don't want access to it, why can't you close the age verification message (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/587976307162349569/726414302617272330/Capture.PNG) instead of being forced to enter age details or reloading discord to get rid of it?Surely a 'close', 'cancel' or 'red x' option in the corner is possible...

After a little back and forth with the "regular" / non-trust&safety support, I managed to get my message across - a day later I was told that it was infact just a system error, and I had/have nothing to worry about.
So in the end it wasn't as bad as I expected, but still quite a hassle to go through..0 -
When one of my friends made a nsfw channel i could'nt get rid of it and had to enter a random age i think discord should fix this and make everyone who has randomly entered age another chance to re write their real age.

lol yeah sucks cause i was honest for being ** so i screwed myself. discord has it there for the companies legal and ethical reasons, but i know their staff knows that 13+ year olds lie and join hentai or nsfw severs lol

i think the reason why it doesn't put a Back/cancel button on that is due to it being a Mandatory Thing to do once you go to an NSFW Channel, the only thing you could do there is verify your Age, and it'll be gone
That isn't a Bug as much, that's Pretty much a Safety Verification Feature they added since a while, so yeah.

This is the same thing that happened to me. I wanted to get into the NSFW channel but then I clicked the age verification thing and then it asked me for an OFFICIAL ID. IM 13!

Then if I didn’t verify the account for 15 days, it would get deleted forever. So it got deleted and this is my new account lol

I know Discord should ask for your age at the time you signed up, so it shouldn't ask your age because I joined a server and I accidentally clicked on a NSFW channel and the pop up said that I'm not old enough to view the channel. I am 13 years old and there is a button saying go back. It didn't ask me for age so maybe it should happen the same.

@[1M]Kerzenmacher same exact thing happened with me today, im really scared they might delete my account in 30 days. I didn't get an email or anything. The verification popped up when my discord was still loading because i had bad wifi and disappeared when my discord finished loading. Idk what to do :/ do i do nothing and just wait perhaps its a bug for me too? Cause its literally the exact same thing as [1M]Kerzenmacher guys please if someone can answer that would be great
