I was typing a message, and when I press enter get the notification that "Hey, your message exceeds our character limit". I press enter and... the message is GONE. This is infuriating. Nowhere do we get to see a Character Count before submitting the message, at least that way we can tell how close to max we are. Also, guess that maybe because I am kinda new to Discord, but it would be GREAT to have a disclaimer or something easily accessible to KNOW before hand such limitations....

 

It is extremely annoying, because if you've written a 2000+ character post, it may be something important, or something you may likely forget if you are forced to retype it.

 

Please add Character Count when typing....

  This is already a feature; when you go over the limit (or come close to it), a red number shows up in the corner of the text box which shows how far over the limit you are (or how many characters you have remaining).

  Don't blame Discord for something you didn't see.
