Allow Autocorrect on Desktop
Small typos on desktop are just as annoying as they would be on a phone. I don't understand why this quality of life feature doesn't exist for a chat application. We live in the modern day, let us be able to decide to input text like we would anywhere else in our operating systems. It's so easy to assume people want the default to be off but let people decide for themselves.

One of my friends has a learning difficulty, and he can't spell words worth a darn. If he wants to type clearly, he has to take additional time to run his messages through Grammarly. Autocorrect would help him a lot.
