Quick private message cannot send picture from clipboard

I often send a screenshot or picture from the internet right from my clipboard to a channel or a private text chat. Sometimes I only want to send a picture to one person I'm currently talking to on a voice channel.

What's super annoying is that while there is a small textbox window to quickly DM somebody, you cannot paste a picture from your clipboard in there. I've been talking to my friends about this and they all agree this would be super helpful.
