Use Nitro Credits without payment information

I find it really unfair that users can't accept gifted Nitro credits without subscribing to Nitro. As of right now (8/12/21) that's the only way to claim the credits, and it feels pretty scummy. If users subscribe and don't immediately unsubscribe after claiming the credit, it leads to unwanted charges on their account, which feels more like scamming that an actual subscription service.
