2FA not sending codes

I have my account set to get codes via messaging but now I don’t get a code when trying to log on

  I am trying to reset my Discord password because I cannot remember my current password.
  I have 2FA enabled.
  I go through all the steps for password resetting and it gets to the point where it asks to "Enter Discord Auth/Backup Code" but I am not getting any text message with a code.
