Notifications for events

I love the new Events feature, it's great!

It'll be awesome if we can get notifications when a new event is created so that people don't have to announce it but can see a red circle on the events channel with the number of new events that haven't been seen just like we see these notifications on the channel name when someone mentions us.

  Excellent suggestion. I've been hesitant to grant many people the ability to create events for fear of my community members learning to ignore the event bar, and missing important events. I do not wish to mention a large number of people to notify them of said event, for fear of being a nuisance and causing them to disable notifications, remove a role from themselves or leave the server.

  I second this. It could be done like in text channels with a white counter on red circle for "unread" events.
