Muting a user from a certain channel

What does this function consist of?
This function allows us to mute a user in a certain channel. For example, if a user talks about an apple in a pears channel we can mute him to prevent him from talking about apples in the pears channel and at the same time encourage him to look for a channel that matches the apples.

What can we avoid with this?
We can avoid off-topic messages.

Is there a way to do this without the function?
Yes, we can create a role in which a user can talk about pears, edit the channel permissions so that only users with this role can talk and if they do not, the role is removed. Example, a certain user wants to talk about pears, so we give him the role, the user started talking about apples in the pears channel, we remove the role and he can no longer send messages.
We could avoid this whole process by having the button.

Is there anything negative about the function?
Yes, users may misinterpret silence as a way to keep them away from the server.
