Nitro Basic lacks custom tag change/Gatekeeping popular feature

You all know that Basic only has one useful feature (being able to use server emojis everywhere).

I really liked that the price *tag* for Nitro has a smaller one. Though for the price of making custom tags more rare for the future. 

Discord does understand that custom tags are popular though I think gatekeeping it for the people that already had Classic before or for people that get full Nitro altogether isn't the right approach.

Now new people are FORCED to pay 10$/month (which is more than Netflix) just to enjoy having the option of custom tags. Sure, some things like animated profiles are something more luxurious. 

Though we are talking about a name. Names don't tend to change that often. They also give you a sort of status symbol. They have a personality aspect that root deep. Just as the "About me" or your status quote. It can either be a funny number, the favourite number or something like 0000 which shows a sort of uniqueness. They have a huge meaning even if it's just a number, but sitting around random number like 3057 isn't fun.

Discord, you know that. So why are you taking away the phun? You made a good job not messing around with already paying Classic subscribers, but you do with people that were about to. You made a feature (for future user) more pricey (without letting us know? At least, I didn't get any notification that the Nitro system is about to change so I can still "save me a seat".)

I think you either didn't think this through or you would be able to handle the complaints that it entails. I am really scared that you won't change it back since companies don't tend to back down on these things, but somehow I have never seen you as a corporation that ruthlessly tries to make stonks as much as possible, but as a company that successfully amuses the internet generation without being called boomers through little gimmicks and descriptions.

If too many people now buy Nitro for the sole reason that this subscription (also) has custom tags, you would fck them over, if you bring down the price ***tag*** again (haha, this is barely a joke, but I like puns (because they are phun (I should go to sleep))). So you can still minimize the damage.

As a conclusion, you gave us a feature for a smaller price that was really popular and now you made it more expensive - gatekeeping.
People that just started earning money (or just not rich people) that planning on getting Classic are now screwed since for these people it makes a difference, if you pay 5$/month or 10/month for a wanted feature. Thats either 60$/year (or 48) or 120$/year (or 100) next to paying bills etc.

You don't make it better for people that already have the full Nitro subscription nor for people that would want a popular feature.
You make it better for people that JUST wanted server emojis and stickers everywhere that now have it 2$/month cheaper aka 24$/year (or just 12$, if you had the annual subscription)

Maybe I'm overrestimating the popularity of it, but I know for a fact that people like personalising stuff and so do you (thats why Nitro exists) so it's not far fetched. 

I would rarely ever go to a feedback support forum since I don't tend to be annoyed of new changes or appearances, but this time there is a necessity
