Domain Update FAQ

Q: Why did my password manager/browser forget my password for Discord?
A: Because your browser and password managers have your password stored under discordapp.com, you'll need change your saved passwords to the new domain discord.com

Q: Why am I getting all these new permission requests? (Mic, Camera, Notifications, etc)
A: Since your permissions are only tied to the domain name discordapp.com, you will now need to allow permissions to our new domain discord.com

Q: Why did all of my customizations to my account get reset (ex: Frequently Used emoji, notification settings, etc)? 
A: Our team has done their best to make sure that your customized Discord settings will not be impacted. However, some users may have been automatically logged out of their account during the update process.

Unfortunately, if you were automatically logged out of your account with this domain update, your customizations to your account may have also been removed as well and will need to be added once more.

We're so sorry for the confusion and frustration with those reset customizations.
