Not being able to indent using tab is killing me

I think this change was implemented with the newest update, and it's been frustrating me all day. I use servers on discord to write, make lists, organize ideas, etc. with my friends. As a result, I use the tab key to indent almost any time I'm using the app. Not being able to do this anymore is a really big inconvenience and might make me rethink relying on the app to the same extent. If there was a way to at least toggle the function of the tab key from one use to another I would be really thrilled. Thanks.
