Voice channel default view should be the voice channel chat instead of participants

The vast majority of the time when you are in a voice channel no one is using cameras and thus the view you see is wasted space displaying the same information that is already displayed on the left side bar, aka the participants and who is speaking currently. In the past if you wanted to send something via text chat you had to use an alternate channel to do so, leading to many servers to have a "voice text chat" channel. Now that text chat has been added into voice channels this is resolved but it's still almost an afterthought at this point.

I think the default view when you join a voice channel should be the associated text chat. I shouldn't have to manually click the show chat button and I should be able to make the entire view the chat as if it was a text channel. As it is now, you can only open the voice text chat in a side panel view.

I don't know why the default view is just wasted space with information we already have instead of something useful. It should default to showing the chat and have a button that is an option to show participants in the case that someone is on camera or streaming video.
