Markdown Syntax

As others have pointed out in some posts, there are currently a few quirks with the way MD is being interpreted in Discord. Part of the issue is that like many other tools/programs before, Discord has attempted to reinvent the wheel to a certain extent when it comes to how it wants to do things.
My solution is simple: don't reinvent the wheel. As some on the dev team are probably aware, there exists a sudo-standard by way of CommonMark. Please adopt it.

As for implementation, there exists numerous open sources one can scrape from, most of which adhere to CommonMark.
