Add an option to "invert" channel mute behavior (vague I know; just bear with me)
Maybe I'm a rare bird (I've certainly been told that before!) but I REALLY hate having notifications sitting there unattended to (and even worse, finding out that the notification wasn't at all important when I finally do have the time to attend to it) and I simply don't care about at least 90% of the channels in most servers. Aside from personal friend groups I mostly use Discord to give game devs feedback; I only want notifications about stuff my friends are talking about and that stuff that's important to me.
This being the case, every time I join a server I end up having to go through the process of muting the server, muting every channel category, muting @everyone/@here, etc., then unmuting the specific channels that are important to me. Depending on how the server is organized this can be a pretty annoying process. What would make it a lot easier is a feature that would let me mute all channels with one click, or to simply have all channels muted by default whenever I join a new server; maybe when/if you introduce this feature you could even have a dialogue box that pops up the first time people have to deal with this new behavior: “would you like to join with all channels muted or not, and would you like to see this dialog the next time you join a new server?” So many possibilities that all involve a better user experience!
