Discord Clips and Voice recording consent.
With the new update, friends in voice calls all sharing their screens means that Discord now actively reminds you that your voice might be recorded without your consent.
(I understand that merely using the call feature means that is true.)
But I have several friends with dysphoria who despise the idea of their voices being recorded; and now that this update actively presents that concept to them upon entering a call, they do not wish to join our group's calls anymore.
I know it's a bit of a long shot, but depending on how you've got the recording setup, is it possible to have it so if you do not want your voice recorded by the clip, you can have audio from your mic be muted for everyone else's recording?
Again, if all the clip is doing is recording the audio all at once, that's an unlikely feature, if it's not differentiating the sources of the audio.
But I figure there's no harm in asking, even if the slightest chance of making this feature not ruin the platform's originally primary feature for a few friends.

Additionally, since the ideal suggestion of
"having everyone's voice channel in a clip be separate and potentially mutable per user's preference before saving a recording"
is most certainly a big ask:
Another suggestion would simply be having it so that certain voice channels, or entire servers, do not allow clips to be recorded via their settings.Other websites that are actual video streaming services made sure to include the option of preventing people from recording clips if the stream does not wish them to.
Since this platform is more personal than a streaming service, options to protect people's comfort and privacy (yes i know, privacy in this day and age) is a bit more prevalent.Again, just tossing this suggestion out there on the chance that it actually assists some friends of mine. Miss every shot you don't take, and all that.
Thank you for your time.
