Server Subscriptions: Price Clarity with Free Trial

When starting a subscription with a free trial, the purchase details indicate that the user owes nothing. The fine print below, however, indicates that the user will be charged immediately.

My guess is that the fine print is indicating that the user will be charged for the free week should they choose to continue the subscription, which is also weird but whatever.
