Animation Triggers Migraines; Accessibility Settings Don't Stop The Animation
Discord is full of animation.
If I log in, I get an alert about username updates. The whole page changes color while the alert changes size and shape. I get a migraine. I think there were other animations, but I'm too sick to hunt for them.
Even if users have system-level settings for prefers-reduced-motion, and are able to fight through the animation and find Discord's own settings under Accessibility, it is still full of animation.
The animation can trigger migraines and motion sickness. In my experience, smooth animations are the most likely to trigger migraines; I try to use browser settings and css to block and/or unsmooth these, but I can't find a good fix here. In my experience, sidebars also trigger migraines; I'll address these in another bug. But fade effects shouldn't trigger migraines, so I'm not sure what else is going on here.
I get a nasty migraine every time I try to log in and get through these settings, and I have given up on actually using Discord.
There are also problems with the layout of the settings and with their unresponsiveness.
