Discord sponsored "guest" bs

Time to appear once more in these forums..

After what seemed to be a long wonderful streak of not indulging in advertising, Discord has let themselves fall into the greedy hands of wanting more money.. With the new feature of “guests” (you gotta make it seem more appealing than “ads” !!) Discord will promote to you whatever game they were paid to promote. Now, to be fair, it is good you can opt out but it should be an opt IN feature. I find it rather funny that after you take pride in yourself for being an adless program, you stumble. Funnily enough Discord deleted their tiktok of being so proud to not have ads. Took your word back eh? 
Anyway. I will use my voice to complain. I do not want in the future to have intrusive ads on a site, and an app that has given a lot of space for people to hang out in and create a community with. 
You remember what happened to Skype? 
Listen to your god damn users. You keep making the worst decisions and we complain, you do not listen. We were right, you did not listen. So listen now. I at least won't shut up about Discord's hypocrisy. I'll at least gtfo if this app keeps downgrading like every other disgusting corporation out there.
