Hacked account #99999
About a week ago, I fell victim to a "try my game" scam that led to my Discord account being hijacked through token logging.
It all started around 2 AM when I downloaded the game. Almost immediately, it crashed my Discord and logged me out. I logged back in without any issues and continued using my account for the rest of the night. It wasn’t until around 10 AM the next morning that I realized I no longer had access to my account.
I wasted no time and immediately opened a support ticket
Over the next few days, I learned that I had been a victim of something called "token logging," a term I was unfamiliar with until this happened. There was also the possibility that the scammer might have accessed my saved Google passwords, but there was no way to confirm it.
In the meantime, I was using an alternate account that had my main account on its friend list. Just a day after the hack, the scammer contacted me through my original account. We exchanged a few messages where he tried to extort me, claiming he would return the account if I paid him. Knowing this was a scam, I played along and stalled. I eventually spam-called him, and to my surprise, he answered.
What followed was wild. He shared his screen, showing me a Discord server where he was logged in on his own account, along with three other people. He had my account open in a browser tab and was using a bot called "Epsilon bot" that had stored all my personal information and that of other victims. This included my Minecraft login, Twitter account, and everything else saved in Google passwords. The bot had collected session IDs, cookies, autofills—basically everything. This confirmed my suspicion that my Google passwords had been compromised. He also had my IP address, real name, email addresses, and more personal information. Then, he threatened to leak everything on DoxBin if I didn’t pay him.
I left the call shortly after, but for the next week, he relentlessly spammed me, messaging me almost every hour with threats like:
"so?"
"@(pings me)"
"respond or byeeee"
“bro, respond bro”
"if you don't respond, I will delete the account"
-
All in broken English, threatening to delete my account if I didn’t respond within his made-up time limits. Meanwhile, Discord support was radio silent. I only got one response from an agent saying they had forwarded my case to the Trust & Safety team, but after that—nothing. I tried reaching out on Twitter and commenting on their posts, but I didn’t get a single response from any platform.
It’s been a month now, and someone is using my original account as if it were theirs. I’ve been on Discord for almost seven years, and losing this account has been devastating. I was also a Nitro subscriber at the time of the hack. Seeing so many years of conversations, friends, and memories disappear like that is heartbreaking. To think that a stranger now has access to all my private chats is just insane. I’ve lost access to my servers, saved GIFs, pinned messages, and so much more.
