Low contrast in new UI

The new UI in the Discord desktop application seems to have too little contrast for my eyes. The Windows/Discord high-contrast mode adds intense borders around everything, while failing to actually solve the problem: The text in Discord is not bright enough compared to the background. In fact, the new UI looks to me as if the entire interface has a visual contrast-reducing filter layered over it.   The old UI, in dark mode, without high contrast, had both sufficiently bright text and a sufficiently dark background to work with my eye issues. Is there any chance of adding appearance options to adjust the text color independent of the background color?
