Maybe you should read what i said again. I never said anything about muting the sounds. I said adjust the volume. And also i realize there is a thing called “Mute Notifications” so you dont have to be a smartass about it.

For god sakes, this needs to be a feature! With Discord's media rich enviorment, sometimes you need to have the volume up for streams, and media links. but the discord notification freaks the heck out of me during the quiet time.

Please Add. Everytime I share a Video i can hear it on my friends side because its blowing their ears away and there is no way to adjust volume before you start the video. Plz let me adjust the default volume

This is a much needed feature. Often I talk with people who have quieter mics. I can barely hear them even at 200%. Discord's output is set to 25%, which is borderline too loud for notification sounds. Instead of having to ask every other person to mess with their mic volume, it would be better if we could turn down the notification sounds.

Yes please, Some people have beyond silent mics, so having to turn discord to 200% and these users to 200%, is the only way to hear them, but the drawback is those horrendous noticifation sounds, which effectively forces you to go on do not disturb in order to maintain your hearing ability, but this causes you to miss messages when playing games.
Please have a look at this, this is so very much needed.

For the love of humanity's eardrums and hearts, add dedicated volume control sliders for separate 'notification sounds' and 'user voice levels'.

Yes I've been suffering with the notification sound shocking me everytime I get a message. I DO want to be notified, but I dont want to be frightened out of my skin every damn time!

When i lower the volume for the notifications separately in my volume control, it is ok for the rest of that session. However, when I restart my pc, all Discord volume controls are reset to take on the softer volume so that now I have to adjust the volume that friends' volumes are coming in at.

Then the next time my pc restarts, the volume takes on the louder set volume again, and I have to set the notifications volume down again. This keeps repeating itself daily, where Discord just seems to remember only the latest adjustment of the volume setting, and forgets that it was only meant to be applied to NOTIFICATIONS, and not the Users' incoming volume!

    So ANNOYING!

Just have a volume setting for notifications... it can't be that difficult to implement. Its just a matter of Discord listening to what their users are saying & feeling its important enough to take the 10 minutes to create.

Hopefully 1 day we'll get there

Guess I'll stop paying for Discord boosts and give you some incentive to start working on this.

How is the most basic feature not a thing yet? Just add a slider for it what's the big deal? My real question is how was it not added when discord was made
