yess i hate it my tag has been 1236 for ages it was so easy to remember but some time ago it has been changed to 7951 :(

breh i just found this today i changed my username and it used to be #2009 and now its #4024, i am annoyed like they could have warned us about this!!!

I dont think it warns you or if it did it doesnt anymore lol, i looked down at my status and saw it was different, it was 1624 but now its 3101 wich is a good bit easier for me to memorize
so im cool with this

i have the same issue, it makes me nervous that i'm using someone else's tag and someone who uses the tag that just swapped mine might not be able to log in to their account.
my previous tag was #0700 but when i decided to change my username to a blank one and a blank profile image, my tag changed to #9391 with absolutely NO warning. how is this possible? and i find the tag familiar.0 -

If someone already has your username and tag, your tag basically rerolls to a random one without your username. I know it is very frustrating to have your tag change. It has happened to all of us here. Unfortunately, the Discord support team cannot change it manually (I sent them a complaint), so we just have to deal with it. There is a way to reroll the tag again, however, if you are okay with spending a lot of time on it. Join a server with the Dyno bot in it, or create a server and invite the bot at https://dyno.gg/. Then use the command ?discrim (based on the prefix of the bot in the server you are in). Dyno will then respond with a list of usernames who have the same discriminator as you. You can change your username to one of those to get your discriminator rerolled. You will then have to wait an hour for the cooldown if you want to reroll the discriminator again. I did this several times until I got one that I liked: #9559. This is an effective way to reroll the discriminator, and if you want to change your username again, make sure it is unique to keep the discriminator that you have. Good luck to all of you!

I just changed my username then my tag changed without warning. They should have given a warning for this.
However, I think I'm lucky to have my current tag.

My 1st Tag Was #8703 (On The Old Acc) Which Is Now Disabled
So My Tag On My Current Acc Was #9253-1 -
Mine is #8778 but my sister keeps changing my name to the point where it suddenly changed to #6008. I don't know but it just pissed me off a bit. Sent a ticket to change it back to my old tag.

man i hate this, discord should really address this issue as we werent even warned before discord just decides to change our tags. i think everyone should get 1 free permanent tag change

yeah why is discord not doing anything about this. i was #1423 since i made my account and i loved that tag, and i went to change it for not even a minute, but as soon as i had done it, i can't change it back, and my tag is now lost forever. i'm so mad about it, and it's not anything that serious, but it still makes me angry because i had never changed my tag or my name to this point. i'm disappointed. i even changed it back to 1423 but i know it will be something random when my nitro runs out in 5 days.

My tag was perfect for me. It was #3414 and now its a bunch of random numbers that have zero meaning to me. Discord gave me no heads up when I changed my name to "Satan" as a joke and then when I tried to change it back to my normal thing, it changed. They really need to fix this and fix everyone's tag that has been changed.

Over 700 upvotes and Discord hasn't even acknowledged this? Can we get SOME kind of information as to whether this will be fixed? I upvoted this months ago when I lost my #0777 tag. Why is Discord ignoring us? All we want is a warning.

I, too, ran into the same problem! Mine was #7251, and I liked it because it was pretty random. At least I got a good and easy one, so I'm not THAT mad; but I was surprised that it changed
