Potential improvements to Discords built in game detection

I have a couple ease of use recommendations that I believe would go a long way into making Discord even better for a multitude more users.

Discord allowing users to add any game to its service, is an awesome feature, but it has two problems in its current implementation that I can think of.

One: The game frequently detects software that is not a game, (Eg. Synergy) with no proper way (That I have determined other than removing game detection) to prevent this. additionally to this, seeing as steam has allowed the addition of AO (18+) games, there is more reason that some people would rather prefer the ability to Hide the current game they are playing, regardless of its verification or not. This feature could be improved upon with a Blacklist feature for specific Programs / Games. after all, more user control for privacy is a good thing.

The other feature is one that I believe of equal importance. I play a bunch of emulated titles on emulators, and unfortunately, the game I'm playing pops up as the emulator instead of the Game title. It would be very much appreciated if it would be possible to rename "game titles" (Like PCSX2, PPSSPP, ect) to their corresponding game titles.

Creating a bat file (that's converted to exe format and added to steam) 
"name of program" "Link to emulator" "Link to Backup of disk image" - Command lines
(you don't need to use a bat or exe convert for this to work however, just preference)

Is currently how I get it to work for steam. I believe that emulation is important enough for the preservation of gaming history, that discord should participate in such an endeavor.

    I've been running into the same exact issue with Synergy! It's nice to not be alone in this regard. (And for a MOD to be getting this type of treatment even.)

     

    A blacklist for paths or to clear a false-positive seems like exactly the sort of feature that should be easy to add in. We can customize what an app says already. Why can we just not...have it display?

    Guys, also just started using Synergy and noticed that if you rename the executable from synergy.exe to smth else (I used nostalgy.exe on Windows, just because it sounds similar, hah) - Discord drops it.

    yes this. Please let us select which game we want to display if we have more than one game running.

    or let us blacklist a game so the wrong game doesnt keep showing. I want people to know what game im actually playing, not just decide to show the wrong game i have on in the background.

    This is still an issue. Synergy is still detected as a game, thought it is not....

    +1 Because Discord also detects Soundpad as a game.

    noticed that if you rename the executable from synergy.exe

    Tried that, but unfortunately it didn't work for Soundpad.
