Please preserve image exif tags
Please preserve exif tags on the uploaded images, or at least give an option for people to decide if their images should have exif tags preserved or not.
Keeping exif tags allows for easier detection of faked images(I know they can be faked, but if they are missing when they shouldn't, it's another signal).
Keeping exif tags allows images to be displayed more accurately since the tags contain color information.
Keeping exif tags preserves information on when a photo was taken. It also saves information about what camera took that photo.(Partly related to the first point.)
Keeping exif tags preserves geo coordinates where a photo was taken. It is a useful information to have when reconstructing a photo album. Additionally, it is also useful in relation to the first point of detecting faked images.
From the privacy point of view, please make it an option for the users to decide if they want exif tags stripped or not. If they users want exif tags preserved, clicking on "open original" link should open truly original file that was uploaded to discord, not re-compressed and stripped one.

A few additional thoughts:
- Users could have a global setting to either "remove metadata" or "Follow server and channel permissions"
- Servers could have a role-based permission setting setting to "remove metadata" or "allow metadata if the channel does"
- Channels could have a role-based permission to "remove metadata" or "allow metadata"

An emphatic "please don't!!!"
The last thing we need is people's location exposed.

Dude, it could be an option for each user to enable or disable, perhaps even per-channel. Think about a family server, not strangers.

@Lurker, ffs, did you even bother to read my request? It's the first sentence of the request TO MAKE IT AN OPTION! Those who don't want to it, don't have to use it.
