Star/pin/prioritize channels in server
Similar to the oft-requested idea of pinning/starring DMs, a Slack-alike feature to personally star a channel would be helpful. In servers with many channels and/or channel categories, sometimes the most user-desirable channel requires a significant amount of scrolling regularly. The Quick Switcher helps alleviate this, but getting to see the channel above all overs would be even easier to access.

Would also be fun to have all the starred channels in one place, there are a few big servers where I'm only really interested in 1 or 2 specific channels and it would be cool to go through them?

I'll add to the many, many people asking for this feature. On most Discords I'm on, there are a few dozen channels or more, and it's constant, constant scrolling because I only ever use 2-4 channels per server. Being also a daily user of Slack and of Teams, both of which permit a list of favorited channels, Discord is a much more difficult service to navigate.
I just discovered that I can hide muted channels, so for the time being I am muting and then hiding nearly all channels, basically as a hack implementation of this missing functionality.

Recently joined a server with nearly 200 channels. I only care about 4 of them and easily finding them in the long list is frustrating to impossible. I can't go through and Mute 196 channels so I can filter on the muted channels - that just doesn't make sense. Having the ability to favorite/pin channels to the top of the list would be a huge usage improvement and get me to use Discord on multiple platforms much more than I do currently.

I would also love to see this implemented, really handy to have your top channels in one place especially on servers with many channels where you only really are active in a few.

This would be amazing. I'm in some servers with 30+ channels, when I'm really only interested in Server A -> Channel X, and Server B -> Channel Y. If I could pin just those two channels from different servers in a section to the left, I'd be so happy.

I have to be emphatic here. I can't believe this discussion is 3 years old and this very basic and useful feature hasn't been implemented yet. Can anyone on the Discord team at least acknowledge that there's interest in this?

Bump. This feature would make channel navigation 100 times easier. You can mute and collapse unwanted channels, pin wanted channels and remove clutter.

Here from Google and annoyed enough to create an account. Like everyone else here, I'm struggling to consistently use Discord in large servers with a few channels that I primarily want to keep up with without muting everything else.
Unless there is some technical limitation here, this seems like table stakes for a group chat app. Hell, even old IRC apps gave you this option.0 -
Agreed. The lack of the ability to prioritize certain channels in large servers makes Discord so noisy and confusing.
