File-type upload permissions
Request additional options with the "Attach Files" permission on channels. Specifically request the ability to limit file uploads to media types only, including images or videos, but disallowing executable, compressed, or unknown file types.

I definitely agree with this - locking down what kind of files a user can upload would give a massive boost to server safety. In fact, I'd probably also restrict certain file types outright if they are known to be routinely malicious or abused 1 -

I'd love to block files by type, especially if there are user-end restrictions like compatibility issues. 2 -

Still no option I guess... I want people to post pictures but no zip files etc..

We need this for sure people are sharing viruses by uploading exe files

I want to be able to block uploads for a certain abusive user. Per user permissions.

There is another wave of people going around sharing EXE files trying to hack people's information. I have seen a few servers shut down by this type of phishing

Been looking for a way to restrict file-uploads by type, just mentioning that it would still be nice to have this as a feature
