Hello, discord.

I love this app very much, but every time I try to send a file through it, I get very annoyed that the files are automatically renamed

For example, if I send a file named:
bug100p[mdf.cpm]07.38.016(Enter.Russia).dm_68, it automatically eats some characters.
And people see:
bug100pmdf.cpm07.38.016Enter.Russia.dm_68

Or if i send "New file.txt", other people get "New_file.txt". Sometimes it is very annoying.

Also, if i send file "тест.txt", it is renamed to "dfd34f2e265a7a64.txt"

 

Please, just urlencode filenames.

 

Urls already support all these characters (even chineeze, like https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:关于中文维基百科/en )

And you can have chineese filenames, but cant send them with correct names 8(

  I don't know if this ticket has been closed, but it's really annoying, and it will be a great idea to just urlencode the names

  Same with Greek characters in filenames, they are actually being stripped. only dashes remain (example: -_-_.docx)
