Discord (Windows 10) Desktop Client Lag

I did take notice to another post about the same exact issue that was closed, I will also report this in the Discord Testers server. I'm posting this just so you all are aware this isn't a '1-off' issue that occurs. Basically every aspect about my Discord client is lagging. Typing, server browsing, pms, etc. The only thing that functions normally is the settings portion. I did notice the smaller you make the application (smaller resolution) the better it functions. So at the smallest possible app resolution, you can obtain about 80% performance; 100% being normal performance. Before you ask, I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, tried using the PTB, restarted my PC, everything I could think of. Everything else on my PC runs fine, so it's not that. It seems to be an issue with the newest update.

I can confirm this is definitely a thing with the latest update, and I just asked a few friends who have all said the same thing - it's way laggier than before. And having gifs on the screen seems to make it much worse (but only gifs from the new gif finder, maybe?)
