I don't even think the Chromebook has it's own native Discord Client. It just uses the Mobile Client as far as I know. This would be quite the useless feature as, most people don't game on a Chromebook, and if you do please, do yourself a favor and build your own Desktop.

Does it matter that I don't play games on my Chromebook... but what does matter is that i have the same right to use the function as anyone else does who has a computer that the function can be used on... and i happen to like my Chromebook I don't have the money to get/build my own Desktop... I would really like to use the feature on my Chromebook just like anyone else can, Oh and also i am using the website version of Discord on my Chromebook

As a chromebook user. I would very much like for us users who use chromebook have the same abilities that pc/mac/window users have. Also you have to download the app

Hello, this is my first message here on Discord Support site. I very much agree, but the reason why I think Discord won't add this feature overlay to Chromebook because Chromebooks have this Android feature as like phones, but the client is a bit different in desktop. If you need Discord's screen overlay badly, you might need a monitor or just run a Discord overlay custom status extension. My best option is a monitor while it's more easier than have to be frustrated over a feature not on a device, however, Chromebook is not these type of high quality laptops/computers on the market, so I'll buy a brand computer if not minded.
Anyways, if this feature was a thing, I doubt you could have a feature to play games with as how difficult, lagging and low quality playing on a Chromebook is. Either way, available only to stream songs; (on more platforms), watching videos as it appear on your status will be acceptable as my opinion, but all I'm saying is this feature may or may not be coming in the future. It's been over 2 years and you guys made a message suggesting this which pretty sucks, but it is what it is, since these types of device isn't compatible to some features, so this ability is nothing to compare to Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.
