Video auto pause when switching channels or servers

When I'm listening to music in some server particular channel I want to navigate to other channels or other servers without pausing the music from lets say YT on that specific channel. Same goes when minimizing Discord to system tray. It gets paused immediately. Is it somewhere in options? If not, can you devs do so discord would work like Chrome browser tabs where no matter what tab you are into the music from other tab never stops. So accordingly no matter in what server and channel I am the music or video playback on that specific channel won't stop. Then I could both listen to users provided music video and to read information or chat in completely diferent server. It should not stop music or video playback when Discord is minimized to tray. I'm writing about program performance with respect to desktop.

But in mobiles this is even worse. On my P10 any video playback gets paused by default once I change window. This is really annoying. today smarthones have good amount of ram, fast cpu's but it's not used as on desktops.

So the playback should not stop both on desktop and mobiles. Make it as an option in settings. So the user would select his desirable playback behaviour.

It would be much comfortable when you close your phone's flip cover, put it in pocket and can listen to music playback from discord using earphones.

Have you tried using Rythm. Rythm is just a regular discord bot that allows you to play music and change channels. 1. add Rythm to your discord server 2. join any call 3. type in a channel "!p <youtube link here>" 3. The bot will join your call and play the music. I know my explaination was not complete, but you can look up all the different ways to use this bot.
