Microphone not working when a Microsoft Edge tab is muted (Bug)

Whenever I use Microsoft Edge and mute a tab (in my case, Whatsapp Web tab) for some some ungodly reason discord goes ballistic and does not detect my headset microphone (Steelseries Arctis 5). I've looked everywhere and haven't found any reason as to why this is happening. It only happens with edge, since I've already tested it with Firefox and Chrome and the problem does not seem to be happening.
