Revamp for how the DM and group-DM section of Discord works?

Let's say I'm in a call with a friend, and we decide we want to invite a third guy. As soon as we do that, Discord creates a group that appears in my DM feed. This doesn't seem problematic until you realize that after we've repeated this process a few times my DM's are cluttered with old group chats from several months ago. I'd much rather like it if the group chat was moved somewhere other than my DM's since this is from where I send most my messages and make most of my calls. 

I'd prefer if it simply worked as a contact list where all of my friends were listed for easy access.

    Just use the old group to call those people.

    Unfortunatley I don't call the same people all of the time.
