Add date stamp in Compact mode

In Compact Mode, there is only a timestamp - like "6:00 PM" - that does not show the date.  There is a date separator at the beginning of each day, but it can be confusing when there are many different messages in a day, and you have to scroll back many pages to find the date.  Maybe there could be something like a date pop-up (which I have made a mock-up of)?

    Absolutely need something like this. A user of my server got on and said, "Hey we could have our discussion this Sunday." However I was not to know it was posted yesterday or a week ago until I sent a response and saw that yes, in fact, it was yesterday and I had not ignored him for a week.

    Additionally, it's very difficult, like fofxox stated when the date line scrolls so far off, and you're potentially so behind in a conversation that it might not be worth jumping in because you don't know how many days behind you are.

    I would even settle for something similar to, say, Hangouts for Android where you can long-tap a message and select View Details to get the when and with whom the message was sent or received.

    In this case, I see this in the menu with Pin, Mark Unread, Copy ID, Copy Link and Delete.
