As a user, I'd like to see a visual indicator on the server that has new messages on it.
Right now, when a new message comes in, a little red dot appears on the Discord Application in the task bar.
However, it's not clear what originates this red dot. So in order to find the new message, I have to page through all my servers, looking for the unread message.
I could potentially have 10 servers to look through in order to find where the new message is coming from. Instead, if a little indicator showed up on the server itself (in the sidebar) then I would know exactly where the new message is coming from.
I think this would be a great QOL improvement for users who are on multiple servers.
It could be an option that you could toggle on and off on a server-by-server basis.

Ok, after further investigation, it looks like there's a subtle grey dot on the side of the server that indicates this.
It's a little weird that the notification on the task bar is red but the notification the server is grey -- but I guess that's just a style thing.
Maybe an option to make the server notification dot red would be nice, but that's kind of minor.
OK to close I guess.
