Playmate Search

Many game specific servers have a channel dedicated to searching for someone to play with/against. Wouldn't it be easier to have a cross-server search by just turning on a "looking for" option on your profile? Just like your profile shows, that when you are streaming it could be glowing in someway to indicate that you're looking for someone to play with. What game you want to play could be indicated by the "is playing" feature or via a seperate profile comment, that does not require you to have the game opened up. 

Like this you would not be required to join certain servers, just to get team mates or opponents and friends of yours that might not be on said server, but play the game can hit you up, without you having to ask all of them individually.
