New text feature (similar to italics/bold, spoilers, ASCII, and crossouts)
So with the text features we have (spoilers, Italics/Bold, ASCII, and crossouts, etc) I think one that would benefit multiple servers, especially with those who want to post large images or pieces of text all at once, would be something like a collapse button.
With the 2000 Character limit we have, it can be easily surpassed if we don't notice it, especially when we make a point we really need to express or try to create a story we feel fondly we want to make. For me, it can be frustrating to have to write out my thoughts on a channel on a separate the Notepad Windows app and split it into different sections.Though Similar to the spoiler function (For those of you that don't know, " || _____ || " ), I feel like it can be used to minimize the space used by having this added in. Additionally, by being able to reduce space, it may be possible to increase the character limit.
Now, I'm not saying that regular messages should be able to be much longer (as that would be chaotic in public servers with no slow-mode (which is also hell as well)), but with the inclusion of a Collapse Text Feature, it may be possible so that messages that go over a certain limit to be mandated to be collapsible, either to the discretion of the server or to the discretion of the Discord Admin base.
That's all I really wanted to say, if there is some insight that others want to share, please do so!

they should just remove the character limit all together it's stupid. -3 -
I had the same idea yesterday, in fact a Discord employee redirected me here. Your idea is def useful but let me add something: it should work so that there are 2 parts of text , one visible and one hidden or visible on demand.
I was trying to create an FAQ and realised how useful a feature like that would be! UP UP UP UP!
