Customize "muting" channels

I'm having a little issue with the current way of muting channels.

In every discord server I go, I mute every public-chatty related rooms so that I won't see any "unread" messages, such as the "red badge" and "new unreads" or highlights.

This also comes with a little problem because I don't wanna "mute" mentions too. I tried everything, but there's no way that I'll hear whenever I'm mentioned in a blocked/muted channel.
The only thing that I'll see is the unread message and the red badge, wich might be fine, but it's not enough for me. I'd like to see an option that will at least make me decide if I want a sound other than just a notification, like a dm.

When someone sends me a dm, I'll hear a sound and I'll see the unread message, wich is fine by me and I'd also like to have this option for the blocked channels.

I don't want to completely mute a channel. I just don't want to see that I have unread messages.
